Eigth Melody [Video]

[Today's feed opens to a slightly shaky image of the trees of Illex forest, courtesy of little Alto holding up Demyx's gear. The scene pans out a bit as they walk down the path they're currently taking. Demyx sighs, the camera looks down at him crossing his arms before the blond speaks up.]

Yeah, I'm okay. It was easier when we had the big guy toting us around.

[He looks up and meets the camera lens. Then stares at it for a few moments with a flat expression.]

You're filming me.

[The camera shakes up an down.]

I'm not supposed to talk to you while we're filming, Alto, you know that. People will think I'm nuts or something if I try to explain it...apparently. It doesn't make sense to me, either. Anyway, we need to get to Azalea to pick up Lea soon so...cut the feed and hand me the gear so I can look at the map again.

[A pause, the gear turns around to an up-close view of a Ralts, then shifts down and flips back to Demyx's face.]

Lea, we're almost back. Make sure you've got everything packed so we can hit the trail quick-like, okay?

It's not that weird. I mean, people talk to their pets all the time back home, right?

Yeah, but it isn't every day that they talk back, y'know?

Yeah, yeah, very funny. I know these things aren't like normal animals, but talking? C'mon, they aren't that weird.

It's no joke. Trust me, I love to joke around with people an' all. But, I'm serious here. They don't talk-talk, I mean. Some of 'em, though, are psychic.

They have this thing, it's called 'telepathy' and well...they say things in your head. It's like...My partner and two other pokemon, sometimes we'll be walking around and suddenly I hear them in my head. At first I thought I was crazy, but sure enough, it's an ability that's listed in the 'dex an' everything!

[and, she stops midsentence, as she suddenly remembers something. She scratches the back of her head, and gives the camera a sheepish smiles]

...actually, I think I've heard of that. Sort of. You're talking about psychic pokemon, right? I thought they could just move stuff around, you know, bending spoons, teleportation...stuff like that. I didn't know they could talk to people, too, but I guess that's kind of obvious.
